That song is totally stuck in your head now, isn’t it??! This Loco a Motion is not what you are thinking. It is a RUN!! Now who would have thought I would write about a run? 🏃🏻

The Loco Motion is a an experience everyone needs to experience. It is three finish lines, on three islands, wrapped up in one amazing weekend. Did I mention it comes with four medals?!!! Run ten miles in Daufuskie, ten miles in Callawassie Island and then finish it in Hilton Head. I could not imagine a better weekend in those three beautiful places!

Incase you are wondering, yes, you can do one, two or all three! It is your race. I want to do ALL. THREE. DAYS. Am I crazy or what?!

Here is a little excerpt from their website;

LoCo Motion is the signature fundraising event for Carolina Cups, a 501c(3) non-profit public charity dedicated to funding breast cancer education, screening, treatment, and clinical research.

LoCo Motion raises money via event registrations, corporate sponsorships, and outright donations.

Since its inaugural event in 2011, LoCo Motion has donated more than $200,000 to cover mammograms, biopsies, and live-saving surgeries to local residents.

Our by-laws require that 75% of its annual revenues be donated to local and regional providers. The rest of the dollars are donated to national partners.

Some of our recipients include:
The Medical University of South Carolina/Hollings Cancer Center
Beaufort Memorial Hospital Foundation/Keyserling Cancer Center
Beaufort Jasper Hampton Comprehensive Health Services
Bluffton & Hilton Head Volunteers in Medicine
The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL
Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA
The American Cancer Society
LoCo Motion has committed to a $150,000 fundraising goal for 2016 and hopes to reach this by attracting a record-breaking 1600 registrants to the Lowcountry for LoCo Motion 2016.

Let’s go run on the beach and raise money for breast cancer!
